Symptoms that involve the urinary, bowel, or sexual health systems or pain around the pelvis, hips, and trunk are often due to changes in the pelvic floor system. Client Testimonials

I worked with Courtney for a few months for pelvic floor/groin pain from pregnancy and childbirth. I was a year post partum, and rest and other methods of physical therapy were not working. Courtney developed a “return to running” program that was unique to my needs. Through manual therapy and exercises, she found a way to keep things feeling simultaneously safe for my body and slightly challenging to get stronger. Courtney is professional, easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable. I was skeptical about pelvic floor physical therapy, but I am so glad I worked with Courtney. I highly recommend her!

I started seeing Patrick for physical therapy (April 2021) for pain associated from multiple sports injuries, further exacerbated by an organ donation surgery. By far, Patrick has been the best physical therapist i’ve seen in New Haven and the surrounding areas. While other physical therapists use only passive treatments (eg. ultrasound, scraping, etc), Patrick incorporates both passive and active treatments, providing proper exercises and mobility exercises to address 1) muscle weaknesses and 2) giving me back the proper muscle activation and range of motion. In the 3 months that i’ve been going to Patrick, i’ve made significant progress – MUCH more progress than my experience with a physical therapist I started seeing 3 years ago for the same problem. I know that my numerous injuries and pain might be complicated to solve, but Patrick has been patient and creative in trying to help me get back to a pain-free state.

I am absolutely thrilled at the results from my pelvic floor therapy. She’s extremely knowledgeable, kind, and considerate, dealing with such a sensitive subject. I have struggled greatly for 30 years with this problem, and in a matter of a short period of time the situation is greatly improved. For the first time in many, many years, I am no longer chained to every bathroom I pass. It’s an absolute miracle!
