Prenatal and Postpartum Care
Pelvic floor physical therapy can help address the many common (and not normal) concerns that show up during pregnancy or postpartum. Treatment helps support the changing body through improvements to pelvic floor strength, movement and postural habits, breathing patterns, birth prep, and full-body mobility and strengthening, allowing you to stay active and comfortable during pregnancy. After childbirth, therapy helps guide recovery by rebuilding core and pelvic floor function, addressing symptoms, and confidently returning to exercise and daily activities.
Leaking during exercise, sneezing, coughing, or rushing to the bathroom
Pelvic, hip, lower back, or tailbone pain
Pubic symphysis pain
Preparing yourself and your pelvic floor for labor, birth, and postpartum recovery
Maintaining life-long fitness
Managing any birth-related injuries
Healing scar tissue from perineal tearing, episiotomy, or C-section
Constipation
Diastasis recti or core weakness
Returning to sex after baby
Manage pelvic organ prolapse (heaviness, bulge, or pressure)
Pelvic Floor Concerns
Pelvic floor physical therapy helps women and men address concerns like bladder leakage, urinary urgency, and sexual health issues by improving the strength, coordination, and relaxation of the pelvic floor muscles. Treatment also looks at how the pelvic floor works with the core, hips, breathing, and daily movement patterns. The goal is better bladder and bowel control, improved comfort with intimacy, and confidence in your body during everyday activities and exercise.
Urinating frequently and/or rushing to the bathroom
Changes in urine stream – weaker, incomplete emptying, dribbling after urination
Constipation – incomplete bowel movements, infrequent bowel movements, hard/small stools, straining or difficulty emptying, abdominal pain or bloating
Pain with urination or bowel movements
Urinary or Bowel Incontinence
Erectile dysfunction or premature ejaculation
Diminished pleasure or orgasm with sexual activity
Symptoms associated with Peri-Menopause or Menopause
Pelvic Pain
Pelvic floor physical therapy helps reduce pelvic pain by addressing muscle tension, weakness, and coordination issues in the pelvic floor and surrounding muscles. Through specialized full-body assessment and treatment, therapy can improve muscle function, mobility, and nervous system regulation that contribute to pain. The goal is to help you move, sit, exercise, and live daily life with less discomfort and more confidence.

“I have received services from 5 different PT practices with some modicum of relief. But, hands down, Regenerative Edge made a noticeable improvement in my condition from day one. Their approach is different and you are treated as an individual, not just a number. If you are serious about recovery or improvement, you owe it to yourself to try Regenerative Edge.”
